Laser scanning of a beer tank: precise capacity calibration
Laser scanning of the internal space of a beer brewing tank was conducted for the purpose of calibrating the tank and determining its full capacity. As a result of the scanning process, a dense point cloud of the tank's interior, including details such as the liquid heating coil and mounting supports, was generated. An accurate polygonal model, accounting for the volumes of internal components, was constructed from the point cloud. A calibration table with centimeter-level capacity data for each tank in the brewery was generated using specialized software. Laser scanning enables faster and more precise work compared to traditional methods commonly used in this type of work.
